Austin, TX - Texas State Senator Paul Bettencourt (R-Houston) will host a press conference at the Texas State Capitol on Thursday May 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. alongside the Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and members of the Texas Senate to discuss priority legislation Senate Bill 4 and Senate Bill 23, impacting 5.7 million Texas homesteads and 2.08 million over-65 and disabled homeowners.

Press Conference on passed legislation Senate Bill 4 increasing the ISD homestead exemption to $140,000 and Senate Bill 23 to increase the ISD homestead exemption to $60,000 for Texans over 65 and those with disabilities to a total of $200,000.
