Sen. Moran Applauds Confirmation of Ryan Kriegshauser as U.S. Attorney for Kansas

WASHINGTON
– U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) today released the following statement applauding the Senate’s confirmation of Ryan Kriegshauser to be the United States Attorney for the District of Kansas:
“Congratulations to Ryan Kriegshauser on his confirmation by the U.S. Senate to serve as United States Attorney for Kansas. Throughout his career, Ryan has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service, the rule of law and the pursuit of justice. He cares deeply about the safety and well-being of Kansans.  As a former intern for me, I know him to be someone with the character and integrity needed to carry out the duties of this role. I look forward to working with him to support law enforcement and keep our communities safe. I am grateful for Ryan’s willingness to serve our state and country and wish him every success in this role.”
Mr. Kriegshauser has served as interim U.S. Attorney for Kansas since Attorney General Pam Bondi appointed him in July. When his initial 120-day appointment expired, Chief U.S. District Court Judge John Broomes, on behalf of the Court, appointed Mr. Kriegshauser to serve in the position indefinitely while his nomination was pending before the Senate.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Kriegshauser worked in private practice after serving in the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office as Deputy Secretary of State of the Office of Legal Counsel and Policy, and prior to that, as General Counsel in the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner. Mr. Kriegshauser holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. A Navy veteran of Afghanistan, he currently serves as an officer in the Navy Reserve.
