I only supported targeted strikes to destroy Iran’s weapons shield around their nuclear enrichment facilities. In just a few weeks, our military achieved these objectives – giving us options and reducing the possibility of a catastrophic, nuclear event. While our military has succeeded in achieving these objectives, Trump has failed. Trump failed to effectively communicate the scope and importance of the operation. Trump failed to build the necessary coalitions, here or abroad, and Trump failed to end the operation when the goals were achieved.
