Rep. Kevin Kiley Recognizes Service Academy Appointments For Local Students

<p><strong>WASHINGTON</strong> &#8211; Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) recognized six students from the Third District who received an appointment to one of the prestigious U.S. Service Academies.</p>

<p>Rep. Kiley submitted over 30 nominations this year. </p>

<p>“I’m honored to celebrate these talented young men and women who will attend one of several prestigious service academies in the United States,&#8221; <strong>Rep. Kiley said</strong>. &#8220;California’s Third Congressional District is filled with high-achieving students. My office received over 30 applications for Service Academy Nominations, and I&#8217;m very excited that so many of them were accepted into one of the competitive service academies. I wish these students the best as they continue their journey, and I look forward to seeing their future accomplishments.&#8221;</p>

<p>Following an extensive application process, these students have been accepted into a service academy:</p>

<p><strong>Robert Gago</strong>, Grass Valley &#8211; U.S. Merchant Marine Academy </p>

<p><strong>Bode Farren</strong>, Penryn &#8211; U.S. Air Force Academy </p>

<p><strong>Amiya</strong> <strong>Farias</strong>, Orangevale &#8211; U.S. Air Force Academy </p>

<p><strong>Trinity Acuna</strong>, Folsom &#8211; U.S. Military Academy at West Point</p>

<p><strong>Brayden Weber</strong>, Loomis &#8211; U.S. Military Academy at West Point</p>

<p><strong>Wilcott Burke</strong>, Folsom &#8211; U.S. Naval Academy</p>

<p>Students interested in academy appointments should begin the application process in the spring of their junior year of high school. Early application is encouraged.
