Congressman Comer Announces 2025 Service Academy Nominations for Kentucky’s 1st District

WASHINGTON–Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced the sixteen local high school students from Kentucky’s 1 st Congressional District who have received nominations for appointments to the United States service academies. “On behalf of Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District, I am proud to congratulate these outstanding students on earning nominations to the United States service academies. These students are local leaders and will now have the opportunity to attend our nation’s service academies,” said Congressman Comer. “Each candidate has distinguished themselves through exceptional scholarship, leadership, and character. Their commitment to serving in our nation’s armed forces is truly admirable, and I have every confidence they will continue to excel as they advance through the appointment process.” Austin Robert Buckman , a student from Fancy Farm who attends Graves County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy at West Point. Maxwell David Disney , a student from Cadiz who attends Trigg County High School, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Ethan Grant Gover , a student from Danville who attends Baylor School, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Ralph Miles Jendro , a student from Paducah who attends Community Christian Academy, received nominations to the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Timothy James Jones , a student from Danville who attends Memoria Academy, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy at West Point. Owen Thomas Lamer , a student from Campbellsville who attends Taylor County High School, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Layne Patrick Mattingly , a student from Springfield who attends Washington County High School, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Samuel Joseph Nelson , a student from Sharon Grove who attends Nelson Home Academy, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy at West Point. William Michael Norris , a student from Paducah who attends St. Mary High School, received nominations to the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Scott Allan Rohrer , a student from Benton who attends Marshall County High School, received nominations to the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Talon Antonio Sanchez , a student from Ledbetter who attends Livingston County High School, received a nomination to the United States Military Academy at West Point. Daniel Gunner Stiner , a student from Cadiz who attends Lyon County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy. Luke Michael Toothaker , a student from Frankfort who attends Air Force Academy Prep School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy. Luke William Turner , a student from Benton who attends Marshall County High School, received a nomination to the United States Air Force Academy. Anna Jane Watson , a student from Danville who attends Danville High School, received nominations to the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Kylee Lane White , a student from Princeton who attends Caldwell County High School, received nominations to the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Air Force Academy, and the United States Naval Academy.
