Cramer Announces Nearly $1.8 Million in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Awards to North Dakota

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded $1,898,824 to organizations in North Dakota to support substance abuse and mental health services, food and drug research, and addiction research. U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced the following awards: $750,000 to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Projects of Regional and National Significance. $486,178 to the Three Affiliated Tribes (MHA Nation) to expand access to medications and treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder. $482,753 to the University of North Dakota (UND) for Drug Use and Addiction Research Programs. $124,894 to the North Dakota Department of Agriculture for Food and Drug Administration research. $54,999 to UND for Substance Abuse Treatment Projects.
