REP. Stutzman Introduces Resolution to Transition U.s.-israel Relations

June 3, 2026 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) introduced a House Resolution to transition the United States-Israel relationship away from one of traditional foreign assistance towards a new era of mutual cooperation, joint investment, and shared development. The legislation comes at a time in world history when President Donald J. Trump's leadership has greatly strengthened the U.S.-Israel alliance and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made the case that the relationship must change from aid to partnership built on shared investment in intelligence, missile defense, and advanced technology. Rep. Stutzman introduced this resolution exactly one week after meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem and receiving his enthusiastic support for the legislation. Washington Post was first to report on Rep. Stutzman’s bill with an exclusive article . Full text of the resolution can be found HERE . A letter of support from Prime Minister Netanyahu can be found HERE . Rep. Stutzman released the following statement on the legislation: “Above all, the United States and Israel stand together against totalitarianism and for freedom. We are bound by the shared Western values that built both our nations. As long as those values are under threat, we will defend them side by side. “The alliance is entering a new era. This resolution affirms that the United States stands with Israel not out of obligation, but out of shared strength and shared strategic interest. Israel has come of age where our nations should contribute equally and share results equally.”
