Rep. Baird Statement on U.S. House Budget Resolution to Unlock Historic Tax Cuts and Economic Prosperity

Today, Congressman Jim Baird (IN-04) released the following statement after voting in favor of H.Con.Res.14, the Concurrent Resolution on the Budget for Fiscal Year 2025: “House Republicans remain committed to delivering on President Trump’s full agenda. This budget resolution creates a vehicle for the House to expand tax relief for Hoosier families, unleash American energy production, secure our border, strengthen our military, stop the reckless spending, rescind the Biden Administration’s burdensome, costly regulations, and put America first. Our country is over 36 trillion dollars in debt and counting. This budget resolution will rein in the out-of-control spending that has fueled inflation and increased our national debt. This legislation is not the final product but rather lays the groundwork for the reconciliation process that will allow the House and Senate to enter negotiations and make budgetary recommendations.
