Congresswoman Nikema Williams’ Statement on Trump’s Illegal Executive Order Restricting Mail-In Voting

ATLANTA – Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) released the following statement on President Trump’s illegal executive order signed on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, that would create lists of U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in each state, and instruct the U.S. Postal Service to send mail ballots only to verified voters.

Congresswoman Nikema Williams (GA-05) said:

“Donald Trump voted by mail—now he’s trying to rip that right away from millions of Americans. His unconstitutional executive order is a desperate attempt to silence voters he fears. He knows his agenda is failing working families, so he’s abusing his power to hold onto control. It won’t stand in court, and we won’t stand for it.”
