March 20, 2026 Newsletters Image On Wednesday, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee advanced Dalilah’s Law , named after a young girl who was seriously injured in a trucking accident, to strengthen commercial driver’s license (CDL) standards and improve roadway safety.  The legislation has received strong backing from President Trump and his Administration, including Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, as well as broad support from congressional leaders and national trucking and supply chain organizations.  The bill also includes provisions creating a pathway for CNMI and other U.S. territory residents to obtain CDLs through states if they meet federal requirements, since the CNMI does not issue CDLs locally.  This ensures our residents have access to these opportunities while supporting safety nationwide.
