GLEN CARBON: Budzinski Delivers $1.1 Million for New Water Treatment Facility

<p><strong>GLEN CARBON, IL </strong>— Today, <strong>Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) </strong>presented the Village of Glen Carbon with a check for $1.1 million in new federal funding to support the construction of a new municipally owned water treatment facility. The facility, which will be capable of processing up to three million gallons of water a day, will strengthen Glen Carbon’s water infrastructure while giving the village greater control over costs, long-term planning, and reliability for residents and local businesses. <br />Budzinski secured the funding through the Fiscal Year 2026 Community Project Funding process. In total, $27.8 million in funding for local projects has been signed into law this year. <p>“This investment is about putting Glen Carbon families first,” said&nbsp;<strong>Congresswoman Budzinski.&nbsp;</strong>“By building a municipally owned water treatment facility, the village will gain control of its water supply, plan for the future, and keep rates more affordable. I was proud to work with our local partners to secure this funding, and today marks an important first step toward lasting benefits for this community.”</p>
