Iowa’s small businesses are the backbone of our economy — but too often, Washington focuses on helping big firms on the coasts while Main Street gets left behind. Why it matters : When investment dollars stay on Wall Street and red tape buries small-town businesses, Iowa families pay the price with higher costs, less choices, and fewer opportunities to grow. That’s why I’ve made it a priority to make sure that heartland storefronts have the tools they need to compete and grow. This year, I led — and the House passed — two bipartisan bills to level the playing field for Main Street. ✅ My ELEVATE Act unlocks access to capital, giving Iowa small businesses more opportunities to raise investment, expand their storefronts, and strengthen their communities. ⬇️ ✅ My Protect Small Businesses from Excessive Paperwork Act slashes unnecessary red tape so business owners can spend less time filling out federal forms and more time growing their livelihoods. ⬇️ Bottom Line: These bipartisan wins prove that when Washington works for Iowa, we can deliver real results.
