Vindman Joins Virginia Delegation Democrats in Condemning Political Violence
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Eugene Vindman yesterday (D-Va.-07) joined U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-Va.) and U.S. Representatives Bobby Scott (D-Va.-03), Don Beyer (D-Va.-08), Jennifer McClellan (D-Va.-04), Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.-10), and James Walkinshaw (D-Va.-11) in releasing the following statement: “The rise in political violence — which has inflicted tragedy upon the families of Republican activist Charlie Kirk and Minnesota’s House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman, a Democrat, and her husband Mark, and many other Americans on both sides of the aisle — is disturbing and unacceptable. We are unified in our condemnation of these attacks. It is critical to the safety of all Americans and the health of our democracy that we are able to approach our political differences with respect and without resorting to violence.” ###
