Congressman Ivey Leads Colleagues in Letter Demanding Federal Cooperation with Local Investigators in DHS Shootings in Minneapolis
February 4, 2026 Press Release Image Wednesday, February 4, 2026 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Glenn Ivey (MD-04) led his colleagues in issuing a letter (attached with text below) to the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, Director of the FBI, Kash Patel and US Attorney General Pam Bondi to demand immediate and full cooperation with local and state prosecutors investigating the shootings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Minnesota. “When deadly force is used, cooperation is not optional, it is a duty. Federal immigration authorities must provide immediate, complete, and unqualified cooperation with Minneapolis prosecutors, so the truth is established without delay. Accountability strengthens law enforcement and protects the integrity of those who serve honorably, but silence erodes public trust. The people of Minneapolis and of the United States deserve transparency, justice, and answers now, not months from now,” said Congressman Glenn Ivey, (MD-04).
