Congresswoman Pou Meets with Edgewater Seniors

August 15, 2025 Press Release EDGEWATER, NJ – Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) today visited the Edgewater Senior Center to have a discussion with seniors about what she is working on in Congress. Residents asked questions on issues impacting New Jersey’s senior residents and about social services available to them. “Edgewater is one of our state’s most vibrant communities and we had an excellent discussion on issues impacting senior citizens,” said Congresswoman Pou . “I laid out what is happening in Congress, specifically the impacts of the new Republican budget law on our key programs. I reiterated that while I am a new member in the House, as long as I am in this seat I will fight to strengthen Medicare, Social Security, and the benefits our seniors have earned.
