Even Republican Senators have acknowledged this is a terrible precedent to set,” said Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30). “I’ll remind certain GOP leaders that Congress has historically moved quickly to support states in need. Take for example Louisiana, which quickly received tens of billions of dollars after Katrina.
