Stronger Farm Bill

Iowa’s 87,000 family farms are the backbone of America, providing the essential service of feeding and fueling our country. Right now, they’re facing the worst decline in farm income in 15 years: commodity prices are down, input costs are up, and financial pressures are mounting. Political games in D.C. have prevented real progress on a Farm Bill that puts Iowa’s farmers first, but I’m not backing down from the fight. Today, I spoke at the House Agriculture Committee about the urgent need to pass a strong Farm Bill that provides real relief to protect family farms and ensure rural communities flourish. Bottom Line: Our farmers work hard every day to support America, and it’s time Washington steps up for them.
