Rep. Kelly: ‘I stand with Rep. McIver’

LaMoncia McIver (NJ-10): “The baseless charges brought against Congresswoman LaMonica McIver are politically motivated by the extreme Trump administration. Let’s set the facts straight: Rep. McIver was fulfilling her moral, legal, and Constitutional responsibility to visit the ICE detention center at Delaney Hall and find answers for her constituents. During what should have been a peaceful visit, ICE agents aggressively confronted and arrested Mayor Baraka. Congressmembers LaMonica McIver, Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez were acting fully within their duties. “I stand with Reps. McIver, Watson Coleman and Menendez.
