WASHINGTON — Today, Speaker Johnson announces the winners of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for Louisiana’s Fourth Congressional District. “A Moment at Cypress Black Bayou” by Maycie Howard 2026 Congressional Art Competition Winners: 1 st Place: “A Moment at Cypress Black Bayou” by Maycie Howard, Airline High School 2 nd Place: “Shining Streets of Louisiana” by Lydia Vaughan, Summerfield High School 3 rd Place: “Monarch of the Marsh” by Christiyana Washington, Airline High School 4 th Place: “Natural Beauty” by Tori Airhart, Anacoco High School “Shining Streets of Louisiana” by Lydia Vaughan “Monarch of the Marsh” by Christiyana Washington “Natural Beauty” by Tori Airhart The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide, visual art contest for high school students, in which one piece of artwork from each congressional district is chosen by a panel of judges to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. The second, third, and fourth place selections will be proudly displayed in Speaker Johnson’s congressional offices. ###
