Commerce Committee Advances Capito-Backed Bills, Lutnick Nomination
WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), a member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, today voted during a committee markup to advance the nomination of Howard Lutnick to serve as Secretary of Commerce. She also voted to advance several pieces of legislation, including theRural Broadband Protection Act(RBPA), legislation Senator Capito authored to require a more thorough vetting and verification process for internet service providers (ISP) seeking to participate in the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) high-cost programs.Learn more about RBPAhere.
