The Empowering States to Serve Veterans Act would require the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide state veterans agencies with contact information for veterans residing in that state. “States should be able to reach out directly to the veterans they serve so they can fully provide supplemental benefits and services parallel to those offered by the VA,” said Senator Rosen. “This bill will tackle administrative hurdles and streamline processes, making it easier for state and federal agencies to work together effectively and get our veterans the support they need.” Senator Rosen has consistently fought for Nevada’s veterans, ensuring that they have access to the resources and benefits they have earned. Senator Rosen is leading the charge in Congress to secure benefits for veterans who served at the Nevada Test and Training Range during the nuclear testing era and were exposed to toxins, but have been denied benefits despite their civilian counterparts receiving support. Earlier this year, she successfully pushed the Trump Administration to reverse a rule that could have decreased benefits for disabled veterans. Senator Rosen has also helped introduce bipartisan legislation to cut red tape and streamline the process for medical practitioners who work with both the Department of Defense and VA to help eliminate delays in patient care. ### Facebook-f Instagram Youtube Flickr Contact Email Jacky Request a Meeting Office Locations Newsletter Signup Privacy Policy Contact Email Jacky Request a Meeting Office Locations Newsletter Signup Privacy Policy For Nevadans Constituent Services Help With a Federal Agency Flag Requests Tour Requests Internships Senate Page Nominations Academy Nominations For Nevadans Constituent Services Help With a Federal Agency Flag Requests Tour Requests Internships Senate Page Nominations Academy Nominations Resource Guides Veterans Resource Guide Senior Resource Guide Small Business Pocket Guide Federal Funding Grant Requests Appropriations Requests Community Project Funding Resource Guides Veterans Resource Guide Senior Resource Guide Small Business Pocket Guide Federal Funding Grant Requests Appropriations Requests Community Project Funding About Jacky Biography Committees Voting Record Legislation News Press Releases In the News Videos About Jacky Biography Committees Voting Record Legislation News Press Releases In the News Videos
