Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) met with over 100 representatives from Community College Districts across California for a roundtable discussion on a variety of issues including safeguarding federal funding for Pell Grants and higher education, supporting workforce development and training programs, and strengthening other critical programs to meet the needs of students. Attendees from over 20 Community College Districts included Allan Hancock College, Antelope Valley College, Barstow Community College, Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Citrus College, Compton College, Community Coast College District, El Camino College, Foothill-De Anza Community College District, Kern Community College District, Los Angeles Community College, Mt. San Antonio College, Mt. San Jacinto College, Peralta Community College District, Rio Hondo College, South Orange County Community College District, State Center Community College District, West Valley-Mission Community College District, Ventura County Community College District, and Yosemite Community College District.
