March 05, 2025 Congressman McGarvey’s Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act Passes Out of Committee Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey’s bipartisan Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act of 2025 passed unanimously out of the House Small Business Committee, clearing the path for a full vote on the House floor. Congressman McGarvey, who serves as Vice Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee, introduced the legislation in February alongside Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08). “Many Americans still face barriers when starting and running their own businesses,” said Rep. McGarvey. “People with disabilities make up just six percent of our country’s small business owners – we need to change that. As Vice Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee, I’m proud to partner with Congressman Stauber on this bipartisan bill to support Americans with disabilities who want to start their own businesses.” The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Reporting Act of 2025 would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to submit a report to Congress on challenges faced by entrepreneurs with disabilities. The report will include an assessment of these entrepreneurs’ challenges and needs, detail what resources SBA currently provides to entrepreneurs with disabilities, and recommend legislative action to improve how SBA serves entrepreneurs with disabilities.
