Hoeven Kicks-off Fargo Mental Health Awareness Community Bike Ride Along All American Trail North

FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today kicked-off the Fargo community Mental Health Awareness Bike Ride at the All American Trail North. During the event, leaders also announced the trail, which opened in 2025, has now doubled in size, expanding outdoor recreation opportunities in the community. The All American Trail North runs next to the former location for Mid-America Steel, a site that Hoeven has been working to remediate and redevelop due to its central location in the heart of downtown Fargo. Earlier this month, the senator made the case to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin for advancing the redevelopment of Mid-America Steel’s previous location in Fargo utilizing the EPA’s Brownfields Program. “This community bike ride highlights the importance of outdoor recreation to improving mental health, but also the vital role of public spaces like the All American Trail North. We appreciate efforts to expand the All American Trail North, and are working to continue improving this area. The trail runs right next to the former Mid-America Steel site, an area we are working to remediate and redevelop. This is a prime location in the heart of Fargo, and should be put to good use for the community,” said Hoeven. -###-
