Meeting with CHCC on Healthcare System Needs

March 13, 2026 Newsletters Image Our conversations on healthcare this week wrapped up with a productive meeting with Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation CEO Esther Muna and Chief Operations Officer Halina Palacios. CEO Muna also delivered an informative presentation during the Economic Summit highlighting the vital role the hospital plays in our islands’ economy, both as one of the largest single employers, but also in promoting our community’s wellbeing. In our meeting, we discussed the current needs within the CNMI’s healthcare system and the realities the hospital is facing on the ground. Hearing these perspectives directly is invaluable as we work to share solutions with Congress and federal partners.
