Stanton Statement on the Inauguration of Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Congressman Greg Stanton is in Washington today to attend the inauguration of Donald Trump as 47th President of the United States. He released the following statement: “Today we come together to watch another peaceful transfer of power—the cornerstone of our democracy,” Stanton said. “As President Trump retakes office, here’s my promise: I'll work to find common ground when it’s in Arizona’s best interest. However, I will never compromise on our values and I will fight against any effort to strip away Arizonans' fundamental freedoms.”
