NEWS: Sen. Schiff Delivers $2.5 Million in Federal Funding for North Coast Projects, Part of $254 Million Secured for California

Schiff secures federal funding for investments in conservation and veterans projects in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties
Eureka, CA– Today, U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is announcing he secured $2.5 million in federal funding for critical North Coast projects that will enhance conservation efforts and support the renovation of a veterans memorial hall.
Schiff fought for and delivered$1.5 million to Crescent Cityto improve conditions for a county veterans memorial hall that serves the entire community, including during natural disasters. Additionally, Schiff secured$1 million to the McKinleyville Community Services Districtin Humboldt County to create a comprehensive Forest Management Plan to guide the development of a new Community Forest.
The funding is part of the $254,457,366 in total federal funding Schiff delivered for California for the 2026 fiscal year, with the passage of recent funding bills.
