Griffith Statement on Passing of Delegate Charles Poindexter

Virginia Delegate Charles Poindexter passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. In response to his passing, U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement: “I am saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Delegate Charles Poindexter. Delegate Poindexter was a dedicated public official whose service to Franklin, Henry and Patrick Counties lasted more than a decade. I enjoyed working with him in the House of Delegates to promote the Republican Party and deliver solutions for rural communities. “I am praying for his wife, Janet, his family and his community as we mourn the loss of a good man, legislative leader and rural community advocate.” ###
