Whip Clark Statement on GOP’s Partisan Spending Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Democratic Whip Katherine Clark issued the following statement after House Republicans released the text of their partisan spending funding bill: “The GOP’s budget plan will cut health coverage for millions of people and hike insurance premiums for everyone, all to hand tax cuts to billionaires. “Democrats have been very clear: we are ready to support a funding bill that protects health care and lowers costs. But instead of working with us, our Republican colleagues are doubling down on an agenda that punishes everyday families. “If they are going to continue down this path toward harmful cuts and higher costs, they are on their own.
