Congresswoman Ross Statement on Republican Shutdown

Today, Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) released the following statement on Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans shutting down the federal government: “Let’s be abundantly clear – Republicans control the White House, the House, and Senate. They have refused to negotiate with Democrats since day one of this corrupt administration, and they only have themselves to blame for this shutdown. “Republicans have taken a sledgehammer to Americans’ healthcare and expect Democrats to go along while premiums skyrocket for millions of families. “While Republicans have been on vacation, Democrats have been in Washington, D.C. ready and willing to keep the government open. As always, we will work with Republicans to reopen the government – when they work with us to protect Americans’ healthcare.”
