Congresswoman Lee Statement on Trump Administration Cutting Off Nevada Solar Investments

February 4, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON — Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement on the Trump Administration’s decision to cut off the distribution of more than $218 million in local and regional solar energy investments in Nevada, via the Solar For All program: “It’s illegal for Trump to freeze federal investments that were already signed into law and he will be fought in court. Let me be clear: Trump’s federal cash grab and tariffs will jack up costs for working Nevadans so he can give payouts and tax breaks to billionaires. “Slashing solar investments in Nevada is just the beginning of Trump’s unconstitutional presidential power trip.” These local and regional investments were originally part of a broader Environmental Protection Agency announcement of 60 selectees nationwide to receive $7 billion in grant awards through the Solar for All grant competition to deliver residential solar projects to over 900,000 households across the country. ### Issues : Economy, Jobs, & Small Businesses Energy & Public Lands
