Cortez Masto Votes Against Confirming Pam Bondi to be Attorney General

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto voted to oppose the confirmation of Pam Bondi to be President Trump’s Attorney General. “The U.S. Attorney General is America’s attorney, not the President’s. I am concerned that Ms. Bondi will not act with the independence and discretion this role requires, and I cannot support her confirmation. Nevadans deserve an Attorney General who will be focused on enforcing our laws, combating crime, and keeping our communities safe.” ###
