Costa Statement on the Passing of Nancy Osborne

April 17, 2026 Press Release WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Jim Costa (CA-21) released the following statement on the passing of longtime Central Valley news anchor Nancy Osborne: “ Nancy Osborne was a trusted voice in the San Joaquin Valley for nearly four decades and a pioneer in broadcast journalism who broke glass ceilings for women in the field. I had the privilege of knowing Nancy, and like so many in our Valley, I respected her professionalism and her deep commitment to telling the stories of our community. She had a unique ability to connect with people and bring their stories to life with honesty and care. I send my condolences to Rance, her family and loved ones. She will be deeply missed .”
