Rep. Scott Peters' Statement on South Park ICE Enforcement Action

May 31, 2025 San Diego, CA – Today, Representative Scott Peters (CA-50) released the following statement on the egregious ICE actions in South Park: " How does scaring restaurant patrons and arresting people bussing tables and washing dishes make us safer? It doesn’t. It wastes our limited law enforcement resources. It proves that the promise to deport only dangerous criminals was a fraud. And it abuses hardworking people and the neighbors they work among - there’s your waste, fraud and abuse.
