Hayes Issues Statement on the Killing of Sayfollah Musallet

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05) released the below statement regarding the killing of U.S. citizen Sayfollah Musallet, a Palestinian-American citizen. “I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Sayfollah Musallet, a 20 year old, American citizen visiting family in the West Bank. My heart goes out to his family and community. “The rise of violence in the West Bank is unacceptable. I join my colleagues in demanding an immediate and thorough investigation, and all settlers responsible for the brutal death of Mr. Musallet must be held accountable. “The U.S. State Department and the FBI must launch a formal inquiry into this killing of an American citizen and ensure justice is served and that such violence does not continue unchecked.” ###
