That’s exactly what this is – a power grab to intimidate our immigrant communities and silence dissent. The National Guard is made up of our families and neighbors who volunteered to protect our country. Weaponizing them against their own communities is beyond shameful. Provoking chaos and division to justify seizing more power is unconscionable. As Californians, we cannot allow our immigrant communities to be unjustly targeted.
