October 9, 2025 Press Release Washington, D.C. — Today, Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse issued the following statement on the announcement that Israel and Hamas have agreed to an initial ceasefire agreement: “I am closely monitoring developments concerning the first phase of a peace plan for the Middle East, and am deeply grateful and encouraged by the news of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which is a very welcome development. I am hopeful the agreement will be fully implemented without delay, including the release of the hostages held by Hamas, a sustained surge of humanitarian relief into Gaza, and an end to the war.
