<p>“Over 9 million Americans rely on federally subsidized housing sustained by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).</p>

<p>“Now, Donald Trump is proposing to defund HUD—the nation’s largest provider of affordable housing—by a staggering 50%.</p>

<p>“This is not merely a budget cut. It is a frontal assault on the most vulnerable Americans—often essential workers who increasingly cannot afford to live where they work, or even remain in the communities that have long been their homes.”</p>
