February 25, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement in response to the passage of the FY25 Budget Resolution. “House Republicans delivered on key promises to the American people by passing this Budget Resolution. We took decisive action towards our goals of extending the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts to support hardworking families, securing the border, and reducing inflation by cutting government spending,” said Congressman Fitzgerald . “Our budget achieves $1.5 trillion in mandatory savings over the next decade, restoring fiscal responsibility while advancing President Trump’s America First agenda.” Despite misleading claims, the FY25 Budget Resolution does not cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.
