PARAMUS, NJ — Today, April 14, 2025, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) joined with local leaders to celebrate one year since Valley Health Systems opened their new hospital in Paramus. The state-of-the-art facility features next-generation AI patient monitoring technology, made possible through a federal investment Gottheimer clawed back to improve patient safety and reduce falls.

“Valley Hospital has been a central part of our community for more than 70 years. Paramus already had an incredible reputation for growth and economic opportunity, and Valley Hospital has made it an even greater destination for world-class medical services — improving medical care across our region,” said Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). “From clawing back more of our federal dollars to improve our hospitals here in Jersey to fighting for critical legislation — including Cameron’s Law to increase investments in rare disease treatment research — I’m going to continue doing everything I can to support Valley Hospital, support our health care workers, and help keep our families healthy and safe.”

In 2019, Gottheimer helped break ground on Valley Hospital’s new, modern facility alongside local, state, and federal New Jersey officials, Valley Health leaders, and the hardworking women and men of labor.

Gottheimer was joined today by Assemblywoman Lisa Swain (LD 38), Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco, Bergen County Commission Chair Mary Amoroso, Bergen County Commissioner Rafael Marte, Bergen County Commissioner Germaine Ortiz, Bergen County Commissioner Thomas Sullivan, Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza, Paramus Borough Administrator Hector Olmo, Paramus Councilmember Ace Antonio, Paramus Councilmember Robert Kaiser, Paramus Councilmember Mike Wilkins, and Paramus Councilmember Alfredo Nadera, Audrey Meyers of Valley Health Systems, and Dr. Robert Brenner of Valley Health Systems.
