Moolenaar Votes for Military Pay Raise, Securing the Border, and Rural Health Care

January 22, 2026 Press Release Congressman John Moolenaar voted for legislation that funds the Departments of Defense, Education, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, and Labor. The legislative package includes a military service member pay raise, funding to secure the border, and support rural health care. "Today's bills fund important programs that support Michigan families. They deliver a pay raise for our brave men and women in the military, bolster funding for rural health care, and strengthen our border security," said Moolenaar. "They also invest in housing to make it affordable again."
