Senator Blunt Rochester Commemorates 250 Years of American Independence
U.S. Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) today released the following statement celebrating America’s historic 250 th anniversary. “This week we mark 250 years since our founders established a system of governance rooted in the ideals of freedom and opportunity. The nation they created has ushered in eras of immense progress and withstood times of incredible turmoil. “On the Fourth of July, I am celebrating the persevering spirit of America, the tenacity of our communities, the unifying faith in our democracy, and a vision of a future that is brighter for everyone who calls the United States home.” In the days leading up to the Fourth of July, Senator Blunt Rochester toured the First State, hearing what America 250 means to Delawareans.
