Legislative Agenda & District Priorities
WHAT: Senator Molly Cook (D-Houston) will hold a press conference on the 60-day bill filing
deadline, Friday, March 14, to announce her legislative agenda for the 89th Legislative Session.
Senator Cook will outline legislative priorities shaped by her experience in the emergency
department and the advocacy of Senate District 15 constituents. The agenda takes a public health
approach and focuses on these key pillars:
• Access to healthcare
• Safe homes and infrastructure
• Clean environment
• Opportunity
• Belonging and connection
• Healthy and fair systems
WHEN: Friday, March 14, 2025, at 1:00 PM CST
WHERE: Texas State Capitol, Senate Press Conference Room (Room 2E.9).
The press conference will also be live-streamed via webinar [here], allowing Senate District 15
