April 16, 2025 Past Newsletters The Trump administration is defying court orders and is even proposing deporting American citizens. It’s a terrifying time for many Indianapolis families. My office is hosting a webinar TONIGHT to help immigrants and mixed-status families understand their eligibility for public benefits, plus financial and guardianship considerations should a family member be detained. This event is in collaboration with the Mayor’s Latino Advisory Council, Coalition for Our Immigrant Neighbors (COIN), and Immigrant Welcome Center. Presenters include representatives from the Indiana Justice Project, Lopez Legal, Flora Legal, and Centra Credit Union. I’m fighting the Trump administration with legislation, in the courts, and by speaking out against this administration’s inhumane policies.
