Neal Statement on Record-Shattering ACA Enrollment

Washington, D.C. Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement on record-breaking Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace enrollment , with nearly 24 million Americans signing up for coverage so far: “Every year of President Biden’s term has brought a new record-breaking open enrollment. Thanks to his leadership, along with President Obama and Congressional Democrats, 45 million Americans now have health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. Another year, another stunning record high. This progress wasn’t accidental. It’s the result of keeping your word to the country that you hear their pain, and you’ll do something about it. “To Republicans threatening to gut this progress and loitering on impending premium increases: the people deserve better than your indifference and millions of people’s health insurance stands in the balance.” It’s not too late to sign up for the affordable, accessible health coverage that works for you. The Marketplace is open through January 15, 2025, for coverage beginning on February 1, 2025. ###
