Congressman Tim Moore Urges USPS to Provide Answers, Clear Path to Waco Post Office Reopening

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Tim Moore (NC-14) wrote a letter calling on the U.S. Postal Service to provide answers and a clear timeline for reopening the Waco Post Office, which has remained closed since sustaining damage that forced a temporary relocation of mail service to Cherryville.
“While I appreciate that the Postal Service moved quickly to repair the structural damage, this arrangement is not a viable long-term solution,” Congressman Moore wrote in the letter. “The Cherryville location does not have sufficient P.O. boxes to accommodate the approximately 400 customers who depend on Waco for their primary mail delivery. For many of these residents, their post office box is their only reliable means of receiving mail...They deserve dependable service and direct communication from the Postal Service about what comes next.”
