From visiting local manufacturers across the South Sound, to breaking ground on new affordable housing units, I continue to hear your feedback and deliver on what you care about most. Keeping it Local Strickland Visits South Sound Manufacturers Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10) spent August District Work Period visiting several local manufacturers, highlighting products uniquely made at home in the South Sound. Read more Sheffield Trail Ribbon Cutting Joined Fife leaders at the Sheffield Trail, to cut the ribbon on renovations. Congresswoman Strickland secured $800K to widen the path, restore local vegetation, increase visibility, and make our home more connected. Congresswoman Strickland made Gravelly Lake Commons a reality, bringing 26 affordable housing units to the South Sound in Lakewood. Joined New Life Baptist Church in Lacey for their 50th Anniversary Updates from the Other Washington Strickland Gives New Farmers, Ranchers Early Financing Opportunities 118th Congress Leadership Elections – January 6, 2023 Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland (WA-10), Senator Peter Welch (D-VT), and Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) reintroduced the bicameral Capital for Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Act . The bill will help new farmers and ranchers address early financial challenges. Read more Strickland Advances Pipeline Public Safety Efforts Congresswoman Strickland’s proposal, the Pipeline Safety Engagement Act, was included in the current version of the bipartisan Promoting Innovation in Pipeline Efficiency and Safety (PIPES) Act of 2025 , which passed favorably out of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
