December 10, 2025 Press Release WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement after voting to pass S. 1071, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 . “I was proud to vote for the FY26 NDAA as it advances President Trump’s mission to keep America strong, secure, and dominant on the world stage. The bill accomplishes this by strengthening border security, accelerating next-generation military technologies, and investing in the ships, aircraft, and munitions needed to maintain American dominance. Most importantly, it puts our servicemembers first by authorizing a 3.8% pay raise and includes support for their families. “This legislation also codifies fifteen executive orders issued by President Trump and incorporates over thirty of his legislative priorities. These include declaring a national emergency at the southern border, eliminating DEI initiatives within the Department of War, and revising the National Missile Defense Policy to reflect the Golden Dome for America Policy.
