Senator Kim Statement on Supreme Court Ruling on Trump Foreign Aid Freeze

WASHINGTON D.C. –Today,Senator Andy Kimreleased the following statement on the United States Supreme Court’s ruling that the Trump administration must pay out nearly $2 billion in foreign assistance approved by Congress.
“The fact that the Supreme Court had to weigh in at all on the distribution of Congressionally approved foreign aid represents a massive failure in President Trump’s foreign policy and the extent to which America’s standing in the world has been weakened. This funding is not charity; it makes America stronger and helps create jobs at home. This may be a step forward today, but the actions by the Trump Administration represent a massive step backwards in American leadership.”
