Senator Schmitt Applauds Senate Confirmation of Maria Lanahan for the Eastern District of Missouri

WASHINGTON— U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement celebrating the Senate confirmation of Maria Lanahan to serve as a judge for the Eastern District of Missouri. Lanahan previously worked with Senator Schmitt as Deputy Solicitor General during his tenure as Missouri’s Attorney General (AG).
“Maria Lanahan is an experienced attorney of the highest intellectual and moral quality who will make a fantastic judge for years to come. During my tenure as Missouri AG, I was deeply impressed by her work, wealth of knowledge, and tireless devotion to the Constitution and the rule of law.
